Wedding Cake

My daughter is just starting out with her cupcake business.
This is the second time she has made a wedding cake. She
did it all ... wedding cake, the cupcakes & grooms cake.
They were beautiful and tasted wonderful!

Broken Shells

My grandson held a broken seashell, turning it in all directions ... examining it.
As I watched him, I began to notice that he was only gathering broken shells.
I asked him why & he responded "You can only see how beautiful the shells are
on the inside if they are broken."  Such wisdom from a child. Most people only
want large, pretty whole seashells. He saw beauty in the cracked, blemished shells.
I was reminded of God's love for us. He loves us despite all of our faults. He'll not
leave us behind. He'll pick us up, cleanse us and see our worth. Thank You, Father ...

Once Upon A ... What?!

My grandson asked me to tell the story of the
day he was born.

I proceeded with the story that he had
heard many times before ... He was a
stubborn little baby & the doctor had
to give Mommy a C-Section.

Then it happened ...
his ever inquisitive sister begins
questioning me like a veteran detective
trying to break a perp.

Did the doctor have to cut Mommy's belly
to get me out, too?
No.
Did I crawl out her belly button?
Uh, no.
Did she poop me out?
NO.
Did I come out her nostrils or her ears?
No, honey.
Well, Nanny ... there are only so many
holes in the human body!
How did I get out of there?

I answered the only way I could ...

Who wants ice cream?
