Broken Shells

My grandson held a broken seashell, turning it in all directions ... examining it.
As I watched him, I began to notice that he was only gathering broken shells.
I asked him why & he responded "You can only see how beautiful the shells are
on the inside if they are broken."  Such wisdom from a child. Most people only
want large, pretty whole seashells. He saw beauty in the cracked, blemished shells.
I was reminded of God's love for us. He loves us despite all of our faults. He'll not
leave us behind. He'll pick us up, cleanse us and see our worth. Thank You, Father ...
